Undergraduate Advising Files
- Instructions:
  1. Schedule an advising visit by contacting the department secretary, at (561) 297-2658.
  2. Download the Excel files listed below to your hard drive, and modify the files with your personal information prior to your scheduled visit.
  3. Save the files as [your last name]_[your first name]_[filename].xls prior to your scheduled advising visit, (example: SMITH_JOHN_FC, and SMITH_JOHN_SS).
  4. Bring the files on a disk or flash drive to your scheduled advising appointment, or e-mail them to your advisor.
    NOTE: Bring a list of the courses that you are taking the current semester and the courses that you plan on taking for the next semester. Do not include these on the spreadsheets since you will not have a grade for them yet. After you have been advised any academic holds on your record will be lifted within 24 hours.

Co-operative Education
Students in the department of civil engineering are strongly encouraged to gain practical experience through participation in co-operative education. However, co-operative education cannot be used as a substitute for the civil engineering technical elective. For more information contact Engineering Career Development at (561) 297-2694.
